Ratskeller in Celle

A great historical place in the center of Celle: Definitely a recommendation for dining. The selection is good for non-vegetarians (for veggies the offer is bwgre, the prices for the lunch menu are reasonable, the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. If you want to eat well in old walls, this is the right place. The quality of the food in the Ratskeller is great and the atmosphere is authentic; so thumbs up for those who like such places.

Quality has its price. This fully applies to the Ratskeller. If you are willing to pay a little more, I can only recommend the Ratskeller, because the food is delicious

Invited my mom for her birthday belatedly and the food was good. We had a three-course lunch menu with chanterelle soup, game and creme brulee. The chanterelle soup was not our taste but the game and the creme brulee were delicious. The prices are a bit higher and so are the dishes. But you can say that they are worth the money, the service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere in the cellar was very nice and cozy. We'll try again in due course. Have discovered many more delicious dishes. Despite the upscale cuisine, the service is not arrogant but down-to-earth.

I ate the Celle duck here with my grandpa. This was cooked very well. In addition, you sit very comfortably in the basement and the service was nice to us. Next time I'm in Celle, I'll definitely eat here again.

Great service, great food.

Service was very friendly. we were given children's cards with pens to color in. The children and we found the food very tasty. Price performance absolutely okay. we can recommend it.

As always, good food, friendly and courteous service. The rooms are quaint and tell of times long past, like a gate back to the city's past. Selection on the map could be a bit more variable, however everyone will find something suitable.

I had rather poor experiences with council cellars in different places. This does not apply to this one! Attentive operation, which also responds to various special requests without hesitation. The food is impeccable. Tasty, well presented and sufficient portions. Definitely recommendable.

We were on a Christmas market tour with the practice staff and had an excellent lunch in the Ratskeller. Friendly, attentive service, food came at the same time (which doesn't always work with a full restaurant). In short: Thank you very much

Great restaurant with delicious food. Located in the center of Celle, in the basement of the old town hall. It was not at the busiest time, so I can not advise on the need for booking tables. I also really liked the service: polite and attentive staff, spoke a little Russian.

Unfortunately you can not give 0 stars. Unfriendly staff! Above all, the self-proclaimed "head waiter". Here is clearly NOT the guest king ...

Gnocchi was the only vegetarian option, but it was fantastic! Great beers and really nice historic atmosphere.

Really cozy and romantic, service at the very top, incredibly aware of the lack of wine in the glasses, good food that tasted of good ingredients. Definitely worth a visit

It was okish place to get food unfortunately being a veggie I could only find baked potatoes, cooked asparagus with butter which was ok !

Very good German cuisine, excellent and excellent value for money. Had ordered a fillet steak. Costs 28 € with fries, salad and pepper sauce. The steak was very tender and the portion justified the price. Better like in some steakhouses. Very nice atmosphere and excellent service.

The food tastes good, although for the higher prices the presentation and exclusivity of the food could be fancier. A minus are definitely the toilets. They are clean, but need to be redeveloped. Pretty old (treasures on middle / late 90s).

Unique atmosphere Not a very big menù but everything we tried was delicious and reasonable priced.

A yummy place to get German food with a local flair. Some dishes even come with local mushrooms from the Heide. All the dishes we ordered were better than expected. Their beer selection is very limited and they are expensive. The ambience is very nice. We happened to eat just as they opened so we had decent service. We only saw two waiters so I imagined service is terrible when it is crowded. Make sure to read about the history of the Ratskeller.
